Froilan A. Alanano Memorial High School has taken its name from the late Froilan Alabat Alanano who happened to be the owner of the lot. His family headed by the Municipal Mayor Rodrigo Alanano made a humane move by donating their father’s land for the establishment of building intended for secondary students. The establishment of the high school was again made possible by the LGU with the strong leadership of Hon. Rodrigo A. Alanano, barangay officials and the principal of the mother high school, Mrs. Carmelita A. Alcala.
The construction of single-storey two-classroom building with toilet for male and female and single-storey Science laboratory building under SEDIP Program started on March 6, 2008 and was completed on September 23, 2008. It was followed with the construction of another two-classroom building through the program of the province known as “Basta Ne-Or 104” and was turned over on December 31, 1998.
The Enrollment for school year 2008-2009, its first opening year, was consisted of 25 males and 13 females, a total of 38 students. In its first quarter of operation two teacher aides handled the class, by its second quarter one regular teacher was transferred in.
By school year 2009-2010, enrollees have increased to 150% with 48 students for first year level while 57 students for second year level. Likewise, teacher-aides were promoted as regular teacher. These were Mrs. Annalie D. Nocete and Mr. Lou A. Rubio, while additional teacher-aides were hired namely, Ms. Jane Pearl E. Alap-ap and Mr. Jovan W. Alcala. To have an immediate administrator, Mrs. Mary Ann N. Solomon was designated as Teacher In-Charge on July, 2009.
In the beginning, its mother high school, Dauin National High School allows the use of their excess reading materials and extending support and giving school supplies. FAAMHS has also started receiving books from national and division office. At present, there are seven nationally funded teachers and headed by a Teacher-in-charge, Mr. Lou A. Rubio after the transfer of the Principal, Mrs. Jeanny M. Abejero. The school enrolment this school year 2013-2014 is 170 students.
